This is the Stelvio Pass in Italy. It is the second highest paved pass in the Alps
(43 feet below the highest, the Col de l'Iseran in France).
It has 48 switchbacks. (See a photo of it on the next page.)
The jersey's base color honors the azzura, the traditional color of all
Italian national teams. The sleeve bands are the colors of the Italian flag.
The Alpe d'Huez is the most legendary site in all of bike racing. It has 21 switchbacks. (There is a picture on it on the next page.)
The background is yellow in reference to the maillot jaune, the Yellow Jersey
of the Tour de France. The sleeve bands are the colors of the French flag.
This is strictly a concept jersey. Probably not good to wear where there are
emotionally stunted, yahoo drivers and their emotionally stunted, yahoo
passengers who find it good sport to buzz cyclists and throw bottles, cans,
and bullets at them. ...Which is to say everywhere....
